I've found a rabbit and it doesn't belong to anyone nearby, what do i do?

A week or so ago I found a rabbit. I've looked after it, put up posters and gone around my neighbours but he doesnt seem to belong to anyone. Who do i need to contact to pick him up? I can't keep him as i live in a rented house and pets arent allowed. I'd feel bad if i just put him back outside but i dont know what to do.I've found a rabbit and it doesn't belong to anyone nearby, what do i do?
You can surrender him to the local animal shelter, they will make every attempt to find him a new home. Pet stores are cesspools of bacterial illnesses, and would not take an adult rabbit anyway (because everyone wants to buy the babies and they don't care about anything but money), DO NOT take it to a pet store.I've found a rabbit and it doesn't belong to anyone nearby, what do i do?
It would be cruel to put him outside, especially if he is a domestic rabbit. You can try contacting your local shelter or rabbit rescue to see if they could take the rabbit in. Finding a good, long term home is important for the rabbit.

You did all you could do, so try not to beat yourself up over this decision. But please, do not put him outside again.
petfinder.com.

search small and furry as the animal.

then put you're zip code in,

and see all the shelters that come up in you're area code.

then email or call the shelter to see if they can take him/her.
Don't put him back outside, thats mean %26amp; DONT give him to a pet shop! Put an ad on Craigslist or Petfinder.com. You can even call your local SPCA %26amp; see if they'll take him. Chances are they will.
DONT GO TO THE PET SHOP! they dont take good care of them at all. take it to the humane society or put it on petfinder.com and someone will adopt him. :) just make sure he/she goes to a good place.
Pls pls pls take him 2 an RSPCA shelter, they will look after him good.and don't put him backoutside again-because he's domestic he'll probably die.gud lucxxx
okay instead of having some one pick him up try giving him to a local pet shop they'll take great care of him and some one might even buy they rabbit.
its a wild animal let it go they know how to survive and god knows what diseases that thing could have.
Call your local Animal Control or SPCA. They'll find a good home for the rabbit. (It IS domesticated - not wild, right?)
well keep it out side and keep it ?!!?
if you can't keep him then give him to a shelter.
if its the kind of rabbits that u see outside than let it go otherwise i would give it to a petstore
