When my rabbit died her hind legs were swollen?

I was wandering if any1 could tell me what happened.The day before she was dragging the back half of her body.The next day she was found dead with her hind legs swollen.please help. She was a lop ear. She was about 1 year old.When my rabbit died her hind legs were swollen?

maybe she had her baq/spine broken


thats the most common in rabbit as they jump kick or something else maybe thats why her legs were swollen


im really sorry about ur loss i lost my rabbit almost 3 month aog he was put to sleep due ot ear tumor but now i have 2 lovely baby girls

Rabbits can break their spines rather easily. If something scares them or they get a toe caught in the cage and struggle to free themselves they can break their back. That is why she was dragging herself around. When found like this the best thing for the rabbit is to humanely put them down. She most likely died because she was paralyzed and could not longer urinate or defacate. Her sysytem was poisoned and that is why she may have had the swelling.
