I put carrots and an apple outside for him to eat. They've sat there for two days.

Probably. Carrot yes. Apple I'm not sure and wouldn't give it to him. That's how we got our rabbits. They were all running loose. It started with a white one in late winter.He'd just hang out in our yard. When it was clear he was homeless we bought a net and a hutch. He's been with us ever since (4 years). We have 2 others that we got this way as well.
