When is a good time to pick up your rabbit?

i just got a lionhead a few days ago. im just not sure when to pick him up

when hes grooming, just sitting there, walking, on his hind legs? When is a good time to pick up your rabbit?
You can pretty much pick him up anytime, but you might want to avoid picking him up well he is going to the bathroom. Just put a hand near his butt and just scoop him up and he should have no problem with it, unless his foot falls out of your hand or something. He should be all settled since you have had him for a few days but I suggest just letting him explore your house with out picking him up for a while, just to let him mark his territory on things so he feels more comfortable (this doesn't involve peeing, you will see him rub his chin on everything, and that is him marking his territory). You might also want to think about litter training him so that you can let him roam around a bit longer and not have to clean up anything. When is a good time to pick up your rabbit?
